FROM A FIELD NIGGA TO GOD

Produced entirely by Laquan except for the song, "Da Streetz of Kakalak" which is produced by Cadillac Fatz aka "Fat Daddy" aka " Da Brown Hornet". This is a soulful display of emotions., articulating his inner thoughts from years of experience in the streetz of Kakalaka. Laquan paints a vivid picture of his past life in "From a field nigga to God." This is the lead off album of a series of albums to come, taking the attentive listener through the different levels of his life, starting out in poverty to becoming the largest marijuana distributor in Richmond County, NC to manifesting his dreams by starting his first official independent company called "Kakalaka Productions Inc. Laquan CEO and his partner Mark Sparks was the President of the company, the only two members who held an office within the company. Kakalaka Productions first song ever produced won a Grammy as well as sold 1.3 million copies. "I was 24 when we received that platinum plaque and Grammy, my company is cashing big checks, and niggas are throwing mad dirt on my name, I must be on my way," recalls Laquan as he lights the hemp paper.

Coming straight from the "Ellerbe Grove Community" in Rockingham, North Carolina aka "Da BackStreetz" in the early 80's when crack first hit in his hometown. "I remember when it was only a couple of us on "the block" back in 1987. "The Block" aka E. Washington St. was the place to be every night of the week in my small town." says Laquan. "Back then when the flyest females would get caught up using this drug, I thought it made them horny but now I realize that they were screwing us because they were severely addicted. They were the first "crackheads" in my hood. I moved from Da Grove to "Long Dr" which was a few blocks from "The Block", I was there every night mainly to smash some of those older, use to be stuck up, snobby females who are now fucking for a hit!" explains Laquan. "The album is an arrangement of songs I recorded throughout the past 10 years. I always recorded songs out of hobby, habit and most importantly, therapy. It's therapeutic when I hear sounds that drags my emotions by the neck, pulling them out of me. That's the only time I rhyme. I don't consider myself a "rapper" I just simply manifest my emotions over soulful felt beatz that arrests your mind until you've become one with my emotion.  If you've hustled in any of the backstreetz of Kakalaka then you will definitely relate, even if you've never actually got money from these backstreets, you'll still be able to vividly follow along as I cast a spell with words like a Grand Wizard." spouts Laquan.

Thank you and be blessed!
